The Thanjavur Central Cooperative Bank was registered on 01 November 1920 and commenced its banking business on 14th November 1920. The Reserve Bank of India had issued license (revised) to the bank vide RBI License No.RPCD.(Che)17-C/03.00.109/2012-13 on 01 April 2013 . There are 497 Societies affiliated to the bank viz., 234 Primary Agriculture Credit Cooperative Societies, 53Employee Credit Cooperative Societies ,6Primary Weavers Credit Societies, 6 Consumer Marketing Societies, 79 Consumer Stores, 2 Housing Societies, 5 Urban Cooperative Banks, 01 MPCS, 9 PARDBs and 102 other type of societies .
The bank is committed to rural and agriculture development through the vast network of short term cooperative credit structure. The Bank provides retail banking services to its customers through a network of 30 branches in Thanjavur and Thirvarur Districts.
